The Texas Rambler plot

Cowboy Tom 'The Rambler' Manning has to promise a mysterious masked stranger to look after the well-being of the beautiful Billie Conroy. Billie is from the East and wants to claim her inheritance in a ranch. This ranch is now under threat from real estate speculators. The Rambler offers to buy Billie's share of the ranch for much more than its market value, but she declines. The Rambler wants to prove that Billie's new lover Butch is a smooth lawyer and an unscrupulous villain, so he joins a gang of cattle thieves. To everyone's surprise, Billie's supposedly dead uncle "Flash" Carson, the masked stranger, turns out to be. Carson explains that The Rambler is the son of his late business partner and also the heir to the other half of the ranch.
