"The story of how the telegraph was laid from East to West, with plenty of hardships and Indian attacks."
In order to continue exploiting the villagers with the necessary supplies, the greedy Gus Lynch convinces High Wolf and his Indian tribe that they must prevent the arrival of the telegraph poles or else their tribe will be overrun by the arrival of many whites. Cavalry scout John Trent receives an incomplete message warning of a white man's involvement in the recent Indian uprising and is dispatched to set the record straight.
