"GUN BATTLES FLARE! MELODY'S IN THE AIR!"
When his barbed wire is destroyed and his supplies are stolen, rancher Jeff Browning suspects his neighbor, rancher Dan Murdock. Buffalo Springs Sheriff Fletcher asks US Marshal Tom Murdock, Dan's son, for help. Tom Murdock goes incognito as the cattle dealer Tom Morgan to Buffalo Springs. Browning's foreman Bat Stringer learns the alarming news of an independent cattle trade at Dan Murdock from one Tom Morgan. Stringer and Carver, Dan Murdock's foreman, steal cattle from their bosses, rebrand them and then transport them further by rail. Tom sees the new brand 'Bar-X Ranch' on the stolen cattle and finds out that this brand actually belongs to Jeff Browning's son Ned and has him arrested. Tom hopes with Sheriff Fletcher to set a trap for the real perpetrators.
