"REX BEACH'S IMMORTAL SAGA OF THE YUKON!"
Nome, Alaska, 1898. Gold mine owner Roy Glennister and his business partner Joe Dextry are cheated by gold commissioner Alex McNamara, causing both of them to lose their claim to the mine. Despite Glennister's protests, McNamara manages his shady business in such a way that, with the help of corrupt judge Horace Stillman, he has the law on his side. Alluring local saloon owner Cherry Malotte can't decide between the good-natured Glennister, who is actually friends with Helen Chester, and the evil but attractive McNamara, who has a crush on her.
