The Nevada Buckaroo plot
Buck 'The Nevada Kid' Hurley of Carson City, who is flirting with stagecoach passenger JoAnn Clinton after a stagecoach robbery, is arrested by 'Cherokee' Williams. The Nevada Kid is sentenced to 20 years in prison in Rattlesnake Gulch. The people of Rattlesnake Gulch and the coachman Alex, who is in love with JoAnn, would have preferred that The Nevada Kid had been hanged. The mayor, who wants to be re-elected, sends a letter for hanging to the governor. Cherokee steals this letter along the way and turns the text into a general pardon request for The Nevada Kid. When the request is granted, The Nevada Kid promises to stay on the straight and narrow and even offers to guard stagecoaches. When his former gang members still rob a stagecoach, killing a coachman, The Nevada Kid finds himself in trouble again and can only count on JoAnn's support.
