The Forty-Niners plot
"A Monarch Epic of the West"
Tennessee Matthews is a seasoned buffalo hunter. He has a trading post on the North Platte River, near Fort Laramie, Wyoming. Tennessee is in love with settler Virginia Hawkins. Yet he prefers the solitude of the mountains and doesn't feel like guiding a caravan of settlers safely over those mountains through Indian territory. Tennessee changes his mind when he learns that the caravan's new scout will be Native American friend "Squaw" O'Hara. Tennessee fears that O'Hara will ambush the settlers from the Native Americans. O'Hara falls in love with Virginia, but she doesn't like him. During a robbery, O'Hara manages to kidnap Virginia. He soon has to deal with a jealous Lola and Tennessee, who wants to free Virginia.
