The Fighting Sheriff plot
"Two-Gun Men flee when BUCK thunders down their trail!"
Red River Sheriff Bob Terry manages to arrest the bandits responsible for the stagecoach robberies. He suspects Flash Halloway, the owner of the Hell's Delight saloon, of being the mastermind behind the gang. During a chase, Bob shoots one of the bandits. The mortally wounded man asks the sheriff to take care of his younger sister Mary. Bob and Halloway both fall in love with Mary, but she prefers Bob. Bob's chances of catching the gang leader rise unexpectedly when Halloway's mistress tells him that the loot from the latest heist has been stashed by Halloway in his safe. In addition, Bob finds a handkerchief near the scene of the latest robbery that looks suspiciously like the handkerchief Mary gave Halloway. Bob confronts Halloway, but he denies and retaliates by telling Mary that Bob killed her brother. Mary dumps Bob and heads for Halloway, who soon announces that the couple plans to get married. Halloway has one more job to do before the wedding. He has heard that the miners' salaries are on the way and wants to intercept them. But Halloway has forgotten that Tiana still has a score to settle with him.
