The Fighting Champ plot
The young 'Brick' Loring is an itinerant cowboy who seems to be a promising boxing prize fighter. Corrupt boxing match promoter Nifty Harmon tries to bribe Brick as well as his opponent Jock Malone, the foreman of the 'Double H Ranch', to influence the outcome of the matches. Although Brick only pretends to be interested in Harmon, his lender, rancher Fred Mullins, publicly accuses him of cheating. Mullin's cousin Jean believes Brick is innocent and plans to set a trap for both Harmon and Malone.
