A ranch owner gives the Cheyenne Kid a thousand dollars to buy cattle. A recently fired worker from the same ranch knows that the Kid is carrying a lot of money and tells Jeff Baker about it. Bakers' henchmen are too late to kill the Kid, but instead decide to kill his client. The sheriff arrests the Kid for the murder, but he has nothing to do with it.
