Robbers of the Range plot

"SURROUNDED by railroad trigger-men out to gouge the ranchers!"

A gang of land thieves wants to get their hands on as much territory as possible while waiting for a railway line to be built. Rancher Jim Drummond refuses to sell his land and is charged by the gang with the murder of rancher Williams. Jim is escorted by a stagecoach to Blue Mesa, accompanied by a deputy sheriff. On the way, the stagecoach is ambushed by the land thieves, but Jim manages to escape. The sheriff's deputy and a passenger named Curly Yantis are killed. Jim drives the stagecoach to Blue Mesa and poses as Curly Yantis and reports that Jim Drummond has been murdered.
