Autry and his friend Chuckawalla Jones try to help Anne Lawson's father, rancher Ralph Lawson, who is accused of murder. Autry is looking for three witnesses who can testify that Lawson acted in self-defense. However, the witnesses are blackmailed by Rock McCleary, who even shoots the witness Pop Morgan.
