"Before the covered wagons...Before the charging cavalry...Rode the NORTHWEST MOUNTIE"
1876, Northern Canada. The situation is extremely tense, as the Cree Indians regularly cross the reservation boundaries to hunt buffalo in Canada's nutrient-rich area. Duncan MacDonald just joined the Canadian Mounties. His first assignment is to free a bunch of hostages taken by the Cree during their latest attack, preferably without much bloodshed.
