"Tough luck for cattle rustling hombres when these three broncho busting buckaroos get after them...a yarn with a kick like a loco steer..."

Bill Cassidy arrives at the "Bar 20 Ranch" in Red Rock Canyon, California, just as a territorial war is raging between several ranchers. Rancher Jim Meeker brings his cattle to the 'Bar 20 Ranch', much against the will of rancher Buck Peters. Cattle disappear from Meeker and Peters and some of Meeker's ranchers are killed. Meeker blames the people of the 'Bar 20 Ranch', but his daughter Mary Meeker, who is in love with Johnny Nelson, believes in their innocence. Looking for the wayward Johnny, Cassidy is shot in the leg and he is then nicknamed 'Hopalong'. Old Uncle Ben of the 'Bar 20 Ranch' discovers that a gang of cattle thieves led by Meeker's foreman Pecos Jack Anthony is rebranding Meeker and Peters' stolen cattle.
