False Paradise plot

"Hoppy - King of the Range!"

Bentley sells Larson a worthless ranch, but Hoppy tells the banker Waite that the ranch has silver in the ground. Waite passes this on to Bentley, who tries to buy the ranch back. Larson refuses and he borrows money from Waite to operate a silver mine. However, Waite wants the money back within 30 days. Hoppy takes a job as a foreman at the mine, while Bentley orders his men to sabotage it.
