"Jeff Bridges is Lewis Tater, the Iowa farmboy who blazed a trail across the barren wastes of Hollywood and Vine in MGM's comedy surprise "Hearts of the West.""
On his quest for the Wild West, an ambitious young western writer ends up in 1930s Hollywood. Although he gets a job as a cowboy extra, he soon comes to the disappointing conclusion that the great western myths are losing out to the banal practices within the film world.
