Tex Haines, Dave Wyatt and 'Panhandle' Perkins are among the Texas Rangers. Tex is once again confronted by Bart Kern's outlaw gang, who had previously terrorized the town of Red Rock and believed he had chased out while serving as sheriff. Tex has his hands full with this returned gang, despite Dave and Panhandle's help. When outlaw Pete Haner cold-bloodedly murders the mayor of Red Rock, Frank Merritt, the widow Merritt and the owner of the telegraph office Jane Deering enlist the help of recently sworn-in female Texas Rangers. Both expect their arrival to boost the morale of Tex, Dave and Panhandle.
