US Marshal 'Cheyenne' Davis is ordered by his superiors to take a vacation. His comrade 'Fuzzy' Jones advises him to go to the El Lobo Ranch. This is the ranch of an acquaintance of his. When Cheyenne arrives at the El Lobo Ranch, he finds that the ranch owner is dead. He hears from the foreman Buck McCord that he is not fond of snoopers. Cheyenne then visits the nearest town Rock Creek and learns that one Wayne Dawson wants to take over the El Lobo Ranch.
