Border Phantom plot
Larry O'Day and his faithful friend Lucky Smith meet distraught Barbara Hartwell, who is about to be arrested. Barbara, who has had enough trouble with her neighbor and rancher Obed Young, is charged with the murder of her uncle Professor Andrew Hartwell. With Barbara behind bars, Larry is determined to find the real killer. Larry soon encounters mysterious German entomologist Dr. Von Kurtz and a gang of Chinese smugglers led by Chang Lee. Von Kurtz wants to steal documents from the lab of the murdered Andrew Hartwell. Sinister outlaw Jim Barton frees Barbara from prison but hands her over to Chang Lee, who plans to sell her as a bride in Mexico to Chinese bachelors.
