Deep in Malaya, as World War II draws to a close, men, women and children who were once taken by surprise by the Japanese invasion are held captive in the Blood Island detention camp. Knowing that the sadistic camp commander Yamamitsu will kill them when he learns of his country's defeat, Dutch, a Dutch plantation owner, destroys the camp radio.
