Original war collage showing a facet of a battalion in Iraq that is going wild. Photo series for the end credits is quite shocking. 3.5*

Excellent film about a group of American soldiers who rape a 15-year-old Iraqi girl. An obvious anti-war film with a good build-up and some strong and poignant moments. The whole approach with video diaries and news reports etc. is not disturbing here. Despite the varying acting, still just 4.0 stars.

I don't think this movie has been shown in too many cinemas. I remember I really had to look for a movie theater to see this one. The story is about the cover-up surrounding the true Mahmudiyah killings, in which American soldiers raped and murdered a 14-year-old girl.

A strong film that was criticized especially in the US because it supposedly puts the American army in a bad light. But that's like blaming the news on what's happening in the world. It is, of course, the rape and murder itself, and the attempt to cover it up, that puts the military in a bad light, not someone making a movie about it.

The film has no masterpieces in terms of acting, script, etc., but the story is definitely worth seeing.
