Wara no Tate plot
Ninagawa is a powerful man in Japanese politics and business. His granddaughter was murdered. The main suspect is Kunihide Kiyomaru, who was previously suspected in a similar case. However, the police cannot find any proof of his guilt. Ninagawa therefore puts a three-page advertisement in the newspaper with a reward of 1 billion yen for anyone who manages to kill Kunihide Kiyomaru. He gets scared and turns himself in to the Fukuoka police. Five police officers now have to escort Kunihide Kiyomaru on the 1,200-kilometer journey from Fukuoka to Tokyo, while half of Japan is fighting for his life.
