Over Your Dead Body (2026)

A reasonably comedic thriller. The story is familiar, at least if you have seen *I Onde Dagar*. That is also the downside of this remake, because the delightful plot twists are then known and that is what made the original so strong. A plus point of this film is that the pace is a bit faster. Otherwise, it is comparable to the Norwegian version. Besides the suspense, the film contains pitch-black humor and the action is delightfully brutal, with blood flowing profusely and weapons consisting mainly of household appliances. The chemistry between Weaving and Segel is excellent. Less than *I Onde Dagar*, but quite entertaining. 3.0/3.5

A decent film about a man and woman whose marriage isn't going well who go away for a weekend. A virtually one-to-one remake of a film from Norway released just 5 years earlier, and therefore somewhat unnecessary. It remains entertaining nonetheless, and the cast manages to deliver an entertaining performance as well.
