The Riddle of the Sands plot

"In these shifting sands, men can disappear without a trace . . . and their secrets with them."

In the early 1900s, two British sailors (Michael York and Simon MacCorkindale) stumble upon the plan of a German invasion of the east coast of England using a fleet of specially designed ships. When they try to thwart this horrific plan, they face the highest peak of the German navy, right down to the dreaded Kaiser Wilhelm.
