The Return of the Dancing Master plot
Two events take the 37-year-old police inspector Stefan Lindman by surprise. The moment he hears from his doctor that he has cancer, he reads in the newspaper about the murder of his retired ex-colleague and mentor, Herbert Molin. Lindman travels to the northern Swedish town of Härjedalen, where Molin was brutally murdered in his remote farm. Strange bloody traces are found at the scene of the murder: they turn out to be the basic steps of the tango.
