The Commissioner plot

After Secretary of State James Morton is forced to resign from the cabinet over political intrigue, he is sent to Brussels to become Britain's European Union commissioner. Through a series of anonymous letters, he is made aware of a web of political and industrial corruption. Despite himself having been suspected of questionable cases and intrigue, he sees it as a moral issue and a challenge to stand up to anyone guilty of widespread corruption at the international level.
