Keepers plot
"What's left when the light goes out?"
A small boat approaches the largest island of the Flannan archipelago, a small isolated island no bigger than a football field and 35 kilometers off the coast of Scotland. The goal is to routinely relieve the three lighthouse keepers who have been operating the light for 6 weeks. When they approach the dock, there is no one to greet them. The winch appears to be broken and the telephone defective. The experienced men Thomas, James and Donald are gone. The oil lamps are clean and replenished and the table is set for dinner and two yellow overalls are missing.
