Joy Ride plot
"It started as a joke. Now the joke is on them."
Student Lewis decides to drive to the other side of America to see his girlfriend Venna. Lewis gets stuck with his older brother Fuller, whose roadside jokes send the brothers and Venna into a nightmare when a deranged truck driver gets offended.

Nice.
Still nicer than I expected. Watched because he will soon be disappearing from Netflix and he was still on my watch list. So set up this Road thriller on a nice quiet evening, which came out well too.
A cast that I like to watch. Steve Zahn was a positive surprise, Walker and Sobieski are also fine. The film has good tense moments, in which the finale was brought very intensely.
The start was smooth, the middle part was a bit more moderate as there was no real threat. The film does have some irritation points, but that was not bad at all. Quite a successful thriller in a genre from which it is difficult to make a good film.

American shiny trucks are impressive by definition, but especially when they mean evil.
Still a surprisingly exciting film that I ignored for a long time because of the horrible poster.
Movie does not disappoint. It immediately starts quite strongly with the bullying of the boys and the tension is built up well. You know pretty quickly that it's not going to end well. Great cat and mouse game and good ending.

Great film that mainly relies on the rising tension, and the battle between three young people and a vengeful truck driver. Dark roads, cheap hotels and vast landscapes, that's where Joy Ride takes place. Excellent conditions for a tense thriller that is not extremely violent, but is oppressive and at times horrifying. Walker, Sobieski and Zahn make a nice trio, and they fit well in this kind of movie. The film could have been a little shorter and the tension could have been a little tighter, but all in all Joy Ride is an entertaining ride.
