Mwoh, I wasn't really impressed with this 80s slasher. Indeed, they have chosen to incorporate many different characters into it.
As a result, the whole jumble of subplots of the students is sometimes a bit difficult to follow.
In addition, the killer disguised as a bear does not exactly impress, despite the fact that they can be equally creative with the murder weapon.
Unfortunately, despite the presence of enough beef cattle, the film does not have a very high body count. In addition, the murders are committed offscreen and we therefore do not see any gore.
Furthermore, the interrogations by the officers and the subplot of the campus administrator take the momentum and tension out of the film.
Add to that the fact that the acting is not fantastic and unfortunately we get a somewhat mediocre campus slasher.
Maybe a little fun here and there for the real fans of this subgenre, but this film doesn't have much to offer.

Seen quite a few slashers and giallos lately, but this is an example of how not to do it. Bad script, bad dialogue and uninteresting characters. The film literally refers to Hitchcock, but unfortunately it lacks suspense altogether. So the director doesn't care. Doesn't know how to generate tension - no build - and therefore no punch. He even misses the point by trying to make a scene exciting when the viewer is 100% sure that the killer is not there. Only the last 2 minutes are still relatively original and entertaining. But that doesn't make up for the previous hour and a half. In some slashers the makers compensate with a dose of gore, but that is also weak here. Besides, could it be a coincidence that this is the director's first and only film? Apparently it wasn't necessary after that.

100% agree with Friday the 13th. This slasher deserves more. The film has almost everything a good slasher needs. Atmosphere, mediocre acting of slaughter cattle, a nice soundtrack. Unfortunately the killer didn't look that good and the murders are not well enough on screen. But there is a constant exciting atmosphere, especially when you realize that the killer is nearby. I personally also liked the ending.
