Mack Monroe is a charismatic and dangerous con man who lives in a run-down trailer park in Florida. He catches orphans and runaways from the streets and takes care of them. At great cost, Mack gives these lost souls only the semblance of a home they once knew. He trains the kids in the art of theft and crime, filling their vulnerable minds with vigilante ideals. While busting out drug dealers, Mack and his followers are chased by Detective Ellis, a tough cop who not only fights crime but must fight for respect in a patriarchal police force.
