Cut to Black plot

Ex-cop Ivers (Eberle) looks set to face a bleak future. Then former colleague Gunther (Beau Allulli) knocks on his door on behalf of Councilor John Lord (Jakobus Alba). Lord once had an extramarital affair that led to the birth of a daughter named Jessica. Although he is estranged from his illegitimate daughter, Lord understands that Jessica has recently been reported to have been the victim of a stalker. Lord sees that the police are powerless against the terror of the stalker and calls on Ivers. Ivers sees his chance to get his career and life out of the doldrums.
