The story is a bit like an exciting boys' book. Movie is not bad.

Nice plot, beautiful role by Tim Robbins, good playing by Ryan Philippe, strong music, beautiful visuals. A lot of criticism here that the geeks look too beautiful and well-groomed: however, if they looked too shabby and unwashed, the criticism would be that they look too much like clichéd nerds look like. The twist that not only was our hero's girlfriend but also our hero's colleague being hired by Bill Gates, I mean of course Gary Winston I didn't see coming. Too bad about the ending: there is little tension because we understand that Milo will manage to get his message out to the world, and the video in which he unmasks his boss is incredibly cheated and full of silly repetitions . But all in all very entertaining.

“We don't take anything seriously, unless it's on a hard drive.”

Reasonable. The film would like to point out the dangers of modern technology and social media, but it doesn't go very deep. Antitrust mainly wants to be a smooth and modern thriller, but unfortunately it doesn't want to be exciting. There are some murders, Phillippe is chased, and the big company turns out to be doing all sorts of shady things, but all the time I felt like there could have been a lot more in it. Winston's grand plan in 2001 must have been quite impressive, but seen through the eyes of today it seems a bit old-fashioned and dull. The acting is fine, and Tim Robbins as Bill Gates wannabe is gold.
