Alibi for Murder plot

Radio commentator Perry Travis (William Gargan) considers himself a pretty good amateur detective. The police think otherwise and would like him to focus on making radio and not playing detective. This proves impossible when a well-known scientist in Perry's studio is killed during an interview. All the evidence piles up against Perry, who becomes the prime suspect. With the help of Lois Allen, the scientist's secretary, he tries to figure out how the man could have been killed in a locked room, and by whom.
