Five women gather for a weekend every summer on a remote estate somewhere in the south of France to spend their holidays together reading, lounging and sharing experiences. This summer idyll is shattered by an unknown man who claims to be looking for his brother, who disappeared the night before. The women try to get him away at first, but later agree that he should stay. The man soon discovers that the women have something to hide.
