A rip-off of a Soviet sci-fi film called Planeta Bur (1962). Although the visuals of the original film were quite beautifully made and atmospheric (nice effects, I especially liked that carnivorous plant), it was unfortunately completely ruined. Scenes featuring scantily clad women worshipping their own gods were edited in. Additionally, the music was different and totally unsuitable for this film. It was also clear that the scenes with the women did not belong in this film at all due to the different image quality and location where they were filmed.

I saw the very low average rating but also the name Peter Bogdanovich as director, so I was curious. Was this really that bad or? Well, the former, it turned out. Visually poor, more like an amateur film, and the acting extremely wooden. Despite the otherwise decent story and short running time, the film quickly failed to hold my attention. 1.0*.
