Salò o Le 120 Giornate di Sodoma plot
"The final vision of a controversial filmmaker."
Italy during World War II. Place of performance: A secluded country house on Lake Garda. A duke, a banker, a politician and a clergyman bring together nine boys and nine girls. While three courtesans tell scabrous stories for inspiration, the men assault the prisoners in all sorts of ways. A range of sadistic and scatological perversions are featured, culminating in a gruesome massacre in which the eighteen boys and girls are tortured to death, while the men take turns watching through binoculars.
