Stille Reserven plot

The insurance agent Vincent Baumann, a cold-blooded careerist and pet of a merciless system, becomes a victim of the companies he represents. Relegated to an accomplice, he struggles grimly to regain his place in the labor market. He fights to climb the social ladder. In the process, he realizes that there are values other than income and success. He decides to turn against his former ideology and opt for a human being, for Lisa Sokulowa. They have no future. But they celebrate a minor triumph against the dominance of the ruling system.
