First Men in the Moon, The plot
While the world waits for news of Apollo 11, a young boy meets 90-year-old Julius Bedford who tells him an extraordinary story. As a young man, in 1909, Bedford crosses paths with Professor Cavor who has made an amazing invention. He calls it 'Cavorite' and it makes whatever it is used in immune to gravity. Bedford can recognize a miracle when he sees one and with a keen eye he immediately thinks of possible profit. Bedford advises Cavor to think big. The two men construct a structure of copper and cast iron, with which they plan to fly to the moon. What horrors await them and will they ever be able to return to planet Earth?
