Just a fun movie, in my opinion, no more, no less. The story is full of clichés, which is almost inescapable within the genre, but nowhere does it get really annoying. The film actually managed to surprise me at the end, only a few minutes before the unveiling did I get the idea that the coin might have belonged to the pastor, and not from the True Jacob. Usually I see things like that coming for miles, but it sure is nice to be surprised once in a while.

In addition, When in Rome is actually funny. The humor isn't top notch, but the movie is a lot funnier than most movies that call themselves romantic comedy. Most of the credit for this goes to Kristen Bell, but the four enchanted worshipers also contribute. Josh Duhamel could handle it. What's important to me is that the film doesn't take itself too seriously. With five people in a tiny car in the elevator of a museum, that's so bland that it becomes fun again.

Nice story, quite funny, clichés that don't cross the border of the annoying: this film is fine to watch.

I thought it was a good movie and I laughed a few times. Also, the movie looked good.

The cast also did a great job. A lot of well-known names that pass in review.

Of course it's oh so predictable, but it certainly didn't bother me. The playing time was also good, so the tempo was fine.

I had no expectations for this movie, but I really liked it.

The beginning is smooth and good and the events in the fountain make for a pleasant sequel but unfortunately what follows is rather bland. The potential lovers are already too silly and it is rarely very funny.

Fortunately, such romantic comedies usually end well, leaving a good feeling. This is also the case here, at the last minute and with another cheerful twist in the plot.

Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel are perfect for such rom-coms.
