Elizabeth Scott gets the chance to showcase her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel at a posh dog show in New York. Judge Donovan Darcy comes across as aristocratic but rude to Elizabeth and a series of misunderstandings keep the two of them from clicking. However, both Elizabeth and Donovan catch up and Elizabeth discovers that Donovan is much nicer and more interesting than she could ever have imagined.
