Melanie Parker, architect and mother of Sammy, and Jack Taylor, newspaper columnist and father of Maggie, are both divorced. One morning they meet, and are stuck together when both children miss a school trip. Boy is indeed quite annoying, just like his mother by the way. A sweetheart when she smiles, but a horror when she's that screaming when she plays in the first 90 minutes. Clooney makes the film somewhat bearable, otherwise there is little positive for me to report. All cliche. We know the whole supposedly hating each other and then falling in love.

Nice romcom that remains fun to watch, especially because of the playing of Clooney and Pfeiffer. The chemistry is good, and the fact that the story about two parents who have to look after each other's children out of necessity is very predictable is already a little less disturbing. Clooney and Pfeiffer's experience and charisma will get you a long way.
