Gastronomers Dodin [Benoît Magimel] and Eugènie [Juliette Binoche] know how to prepare the most delicious meals in their large kitchen day in and day out. They have been working together for 20 years when Dodin finally convinces Eugènie to commit themselves (also) as husband and wife. But then Eugénie starts to struggle with her health. A wafer-thin story as an excuse for endless scenes of cooking or talking about recipes. Beautifully filmed, but terribly boring for the uninitiated. Lovers of high-quality gastronomy will certainly manage to stay awake.
