"A MIGHTY SAGA OF PIONEER COURAGE...that gave the nation a new empire!"
Trapper Kit Carson and his men join John C. Fremont, who is on his way to California. They are accompanied by soldiers tasked with finding the fastest way west. Along the way, they fall victim to Native American attacks backed by the Mexican government who want to stop American colonization in territory they consider Mexican. Once in California, Fremont and Carson launch a campaign to free the state from Mexican power.
