Johnny Larsen plot
Johnny, a working-class son, comes of age in the 1950s and tries to find his place in a society marked by social confusion. As an unskilled worker, he faces the trials of unemployment. He breaks with the socialist ideals of his family. He falls in love with the girl Britta and decides to volunteer in the army in the hope of building a career there.
