Flugten plot
Danish journalist Rikke Lyngvig is held hostage in Afghanistan by a terrorist group that threatens to kill her if Denmark does not withdraw its troops from their country. When that threatens to fail and threatens no longer serve any purpose, however, she manages to escape with the help of the young group member Nazir. Back in her country, Rikke has become a celebrity against her will. Nazir flees from his accomplices and ends up wandering in Denmark where the two meet again. Will Rikke forgive and help this young Afghan, who has previously threatened her with death?

Drama in which a Danish journalist kidnapped by terrorists in Afghanistan helps one of her hostage takers when he flees his country and ends up in Denmark as a migrant. A story about forgiveness and doing what you have to do to help your fellow man, regardless of politics and ideology, which in this case is at odds with the (right-wing?) policy of the country. Narrative not always strong. So I thought there were quite a few coincidences in it. Coincidentally the hostage-taker Nasir speaks English, coincidentally he ends up in Denmark ... I also didn't think the ending was that great. Fortunately, Flugten is captivatingly told by its current theme and it is well acted, but the film nevertheless remains a decent average.

The first part of the film, the hostage situation, I thought was too detailed compared to the rest, which should have been worked out much better. For a film from 2009, it is now a topical theme; the interpreters in Afghanistan. Despite the fact that the film lasted almost two hours, you could fill a sequel with the possible consequences of the actions of certain people, including the open ends. The cast consisted of many acquaintances who guarantee acting quality.
