Road movie in which two men cross the landscape of East Groningen on a sidecar. Werner, an overwrought German sergeant who wants to commit suicide, and Ferdi, a fugitive mental patient who suffers from nihilistic delusions, have incompatible views of reality but try to understand each other despite their differences.
