Good film about a divorced mother with agoraphobia who has not left her apartment for a long time. An old-fashioned thriller (and that is meant in a positive way). Sometimes a bit self-conscious, especially in the way some things are portrayed (which is also often done stylishly). The plot is not exactly innovative but entertaining enough and the cast consists of quite a few well-known names.

Terrible this.
This must somehow hark back to the old bygone thriller formula, but that turns out hopelessly. Like using a tea bag for the fifth or sixth time to make a pot of tea.
A thriller that never wants to be exciting or scary. Acting is really that typical American again, clichéd to the point of exaggeration, you can also go too far in that.
The police are at your door and then suddenly everyone, including your neighbors, is in the middle of your living room.
Very predictable and also very strange that a child psychiatrist does not even realize that she is dealing with a psychopathic teenager. When I saw that guy I immediately knew what time it was.
The only plus is that the cat makes it to the end of the movie.

Great movie with a pretty upscale cast. Similar plot has been made into movies before, but I thought this was one of the better ones. Although it is quite clear what Anna really does and does not see, the tension remains at a constant level and is increased slightly towards the end. Fascinating movie. Nice picture by the way: that car in the front room....
