The Warren Case plot

Reprimanded by his boss for a marked lack of sensational storytelling, Lewis Bevan takes matters into his own hands to relaunch his distinguished career. When the fiancée of his boss's daughter Mary is involved in the murder of a good girl, Bevan's sensational story almost only takes the hapless man's guilt. However, Mary is suspicious of Bevan's extraordinary knowledge of the case and tries to persuade the police to investigate further...
