The Firebird plot
Herman Brandt is a handsome but cocky actor who lives in the same apartment complex in Vienna as John and Carola Pointer and their 18-year-old daughter Mariette. After a dishonorable offer, Brandt is asked to leave, but he refuses, prompting the Pointer family to move on their own. While they are packing, the police arrive and inform them that Brandt has been found murdered in his apartment. Since it is known that they had an argument with him, they are suspects. However, Inspector Muller, the detective investigating the murder, discovers that there is more going on than meets the eye.
