The 9th Guest plot
"Their Host Was a Spectre … Their Hostess Disaster!"
Eight people, most of them strangers to each other, are summoned by an unknown host to a posh Manhattan penthouse. When everyone has arrived, all doors and windows will be locked automatically. Then the voice of the invisible host comes from a radio speaker. He explains that all the guests are old enemies of his and that they are all doomed to die this evening.
