Lord Edgware Dies plot

Jane Wilkinson - an actress - is suspected of murdering her husband, the fourth Baron Edgware. This way she would have free work to marry the Earl of Merton. Wilkinson denies killing her husband, but a salient detail is that just before Edgware's death she asked Hercule Poirot to agree to a divorce with her husband. When Poirot presents the issue to Edgware, it appears that he has already agreed to a divorce and that he has even written a letter to his wife about the matter. Jane, however, denies the existence and receipt of the letter.
